Olley Fever

Updated: Sep 11, 2019

We've had quite a number of beautiful paintings by the much-loved Australian artist Margaret Olley in the studio in recent months. And that's hardly surprising as there's been a lot of Olley loving going on around town.

Running until 13 October is the exhibition Margaret Olley: A Generous Life at QAGOMA. And coinciding with the opening days of that major exhibition was another wonderful collection of her works in an exhibition at Philip Bacon Galleries, also here in Brisbane. We were entrusted to do the art capture of a number of these works for reproduction in the exhibition catalogue. Her paintings are iconic and always amazing to see in the flesh.

At the same time Contemporary Editions released their latest limited edition fine art print 'Wildflowers and pears'. This is the fourth Olley we've had the pleasure of reproducing for the fine art print publisher. It's yet another beauty, and certainly makes for an affordable way to own your own Olley.

This artwork is reproduced in collaboration with Tweed Regional Gallery and Margaret Olley Art Centre with sales contributing towards the Gallery. MOAC is open all year round and celebrates the career, life and legacy of its namesake.
